Saint Lucifer of Cagliari, a Champion of Faith Hampered by His Name
Saint Lucifer of Cagliari (4th c.), a Sardinian bishop celebrated on May 20, zealously defended the faith against Arianism. The Church venerates him as a confessor, but his uncompromising stance caused conflicts with St. Athanasius and Rome.
