Mullally in Vatican, the pseudo-blessing that should have been avoided
By receiving the Anglican primate, Leo XIV mentioned the «new problems» that have arisen between Rome and Canterbury, one of which was right in front of him: the so-called archbishop fresh from the spectacle of "blessing" steps away from Peter's tomb while a bishop made the sign of the cross, in defiance of sacramental truth.
