After all, it hardly refers to itself as the Catholic Church anymore, and one of the first declarations Robert Prevost made when he walked out onto the loggia was that “we want to be a Synodal Church.”
We might lose the buildings and the Vatican, and the Church will be much smaller and humbler, but that might just be the dividing line we need to start rebuilding the true Catholic Church.
“Cardinal” Reinhard Marx marked his 30th anniversary as a bishop in Munich with a conference bearing a title that perfectly supports my argument: Der synodale Bischof — “The Synodal Bishop.”
This symposium went even further than the usual synodal trash event where bishops practice “listening” more attentively. According to the event’s subtitle, it sought to explore “Rethinking the Church’s leadership office under the claim of synodality.”
The program for this one was riddled with the language of the new revolution. “Synodality is the watchword,” it declared, and the Church is to give its “hierarchical structures” a new relationship to the “whole People of God.”
And, as usual, what they mean is as confusing as the synodalese they use. Apparently, this means that clergy and laity should form a praying, listening, and deliberating community that together seeks decisions with “the greatest possible unanimity.” In other words, as I have said before, everyone will get together and then invent new ways of offending God, which they will, in turn, pass off as “a new way of doing church” or some such nonsense.
The organizers were quick to deny that this means “parliamentary” voting, but immediately added that the result should be “a clear increase in democratic culture.”
Okay, so let me get this straight: we aren’t going to vote on matters of faith. We are going to vote on matters of faith. Makes perfect sense. To the rotten, syphilitic synodal mind, I guess.
But the following line in the program was especially juicy: “A synodal Church needs a synodal bishop,” it proudly proclaimed.
Yes, praise God, I thought. They admit it. They are telling us openly that they are not the Catholic Church, but the Synodal Antichrist Spiritual Sewage Farm, and that their bishops will be different from those who form part of the glorious Apostolic succession of the One, True, Holy, and Apostolic Catholic Church.
The episcopal office, the program stated, “will change” when it is “bindingly embedded in participatory structures within and beyond the diocese.” Even the exercise of the bishop’s governing power is explicitly included in this proposed transformation.
This is so shockingly far removed from what an actual Catholic bishop is that it is not even funny. The essence of a synodal bishop’s office is not about receiving, but about reconstructing.
The program asked how episcopal potestas can be placed in a “constructive relationship” with the dignity and rights of all the baptized, and which concepts of a “synodal recasting of episcopal authority” point toward the future. The symposium’s sessions planned to consider the “innovative potential” of New Testament ministry, the historical emergence of the episcopate, a “changed profile” for episcopal ministry, and even the Protestant “reconstitution” of the episcopal office during the Reformation.
And if you have to reread that to make sense of it, let me help you. It is a demonically radical attempt not to discuss a more gracious pastoral style, but to determine how to change episcopal authority itself, what new permanent synodal structures should be instituted, and how leadership should be “shared.” In other words, it is about as Catholic as the bacteria that grew under Martin Luther’s toenails.

In his anniversary interview with katholisch.de, the same filthy heretic, Marx, also clarified the underlying ecclesiology of the apostate Synodal “Church.”
“The Church is not like a pyramid with the Curia in Rome at the top,” he said, but consists of local churches forming the universal Church, with the Pope as “the foundation of unity.” Each local church, Marx argued, “must find its own way.”
Its own way? As opposed to the perennial Catholic way of the Way, the Truth, and the Life?
He said the Synodal Way should not merely produce “a list of demands” to be sent to Rome, but that the decisive arena would be the diocese, where synodal structures can become concrete.
Marx also argued that the bishops’ conference “cannot be the only organ” representing the Church, and that another representative “resonance space” is needed.
His description of the papacy followed the same anti-Catholic reasoning, as he explained that “The Pope is not the autocratic ruler over the Church” but the “foundation of unity.” According to Marx, in a synodal Church, the Pope’s task should be to ensure that “many can travel the Church’s path together.”
This is nothing less than a recipe for anarchy and confusion, but hey, welcome to the Synodal Church.
From Belgium and Italy came two more reasons to pray that they officially change their name to the “Synodal Church”. (Or maybe “Leo & Francis’ Big Gay Kosher Church of Mother Earth” could also be an option.)
LifeSiteNews reported that, in Belgium, KU Leuven incorporated an Arabic recitation from the Quran into a supposed Catholic Mass marking the beginning of the university’s academic year. The “Catholic” institution presented the inclusion of different religious traditions as part of interfaith initiative. After all, the Synodal Church does not convert, it converse.
A young man proclaimed verses from the Quran’s Surah Ash-Shu’ara, a chapter that includes an account of Abraham challenging his father and community over their objects of worship.
There were also Protestant and Anglican readings, and, according to AdVaticanum, a Jewish text reading was also planned, but the idea was abandoned at the last moment. But here is the worst part: “Archbishop” Luc Terlinden was among those attending the Mass, and it seems to have received his stamp of approval.
After all, just another incident of the Synodal Church doing its bit for establishing the Antichrist’s One World Religion.
Speaking of which, in a separate incident in Italy, plans for a Muslim place of worship in Venice got the thumbs-up from another Synodal traitor.
“Archbishop” Francesco Moraglia, who serves as Patriarch of Venice, expressed his support for the establishment of a mosque in Mestre, the mainland portion of the municipality.
Moraglia, who clearly doesn’t give a hootenanny about the fact that these followers of Islam need Christ and not a place to pray to their false god, said, “We all have the right to have a suitable place in which to pray.”
Now add all three of these stories together, and what do you get?
Definitely not Catholicism, and definitely not the Catholic Church.
So, can they for the love of Catholicism, just change their name already?
